About the role

You'll be the expert behind the productivity tools that keep thousands of Shopifolk globally connected daily - Slack, Google Workspace, and other critical third-party applications. This isn't just system administration; you're building custom solutions that save hundreds of hours and presenting strategic recommendations to leadership.

One day you're diving deep into technical API integrations, the next you're leading company-wide workflow optimizations. You'll evaluate new AI features with healthy skepticism, separating genuine value from vendor hype.

We need someone who gets energized by high-impact problems, builds novel solutions rather than accepting orthodox approaches, and wants to own systems that thousands depend on while shaping strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Administer enterprise Slack, Google Workspace, Figma, and Fresh Service for thousands of users
Drive strategic optimization projects: license rightsizing, system migrations, workflow automations
Build custom integrations and automations with engineering teams when third-party tools fall short
Partner cross-functionally with procurement, design, product, engineering, and finance teams
Negotiate vendor renewals and optimize software spend across the organization
Evaluate new AI tools and features before company-wide rollouts
Ensure tools just work without generating noise or confusing user experiences

Qualifications

Expert-level Slack and Google Workspace administration at enterprise scale
Strategic project leadership experience with measurable business impact
Technical depth: Slack apps/bots, SQL queries, API integrations
Strong stakeholder management skills with diplomatic influence without authority
Commercial acumen and experience maximizing software investment value
Critical thinking to cut through vendor hype and marketing promises
History of building creative solutions rather than accepting "good enough" approaches
