About the team

The Marketing team at Plane owns two key metrics—PLG revenue and PQLs for Sales. If you have to Google those terms, you will probably not be a fit for this position.

This position is on the most collaborative team at Plane. Marketing works closely with,

Product Management for roadmaps, features, launches, and campaigns
Product Design for previews, product-specific assets, and use cases
Engineering for updates, breaking changes, upgrades, and improvements, and finally,
Sales to help convert our significant inbound interest into customers across the mid-market and enterprise segments

Everything the team does is in the service of revenue, of which we own a significant chunk via product-led initiatives and experiments. This means we own and execute our web strategy, content strategy, and conversion strategy across several channels and personas with unrelenting focus on moving our self-serve users from point A through to paid conversions.

About the role

You’ll be the architect of our content strategy—from high-intent product content to revenue-driving assets, from branded content to content partnerships, from in-house content to referral and backlinked content. If you’ve wondered how fast-growing PLG companies maintain consistently high content-driven conversions while scaling their product adoption, this is your chance to own that playbook.

This is a hands-on role where execution matters as much as strategy. While this role is designed for team leadership, how soon you get there will depend on how quickly you can show initial success with personal content contributions and their impact on our conversion metrics.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it

You will translate our product growth drivers into relatable and compelling narratives that drive measurable conversions at every stage of the funnel. You’ll own our content strategy and our reusable, repurposable content + asset library while working cross-functionally with Growth, Product Marketing, and Sales to create high-impact content that converts. In fact, unlike some Content roles, you will own conversion metrics with content as the last-touch before conversion.

As should be obvious, this is a mission-critical role.

In this role, you will,

Own and create conversion-focused content across the entire funnel
Craft detailed product comparisons, in-depth guides, and use case studies that drive decisions in our favor
Design content experiences that play super-well with our feature launches and other campaigns
Build and maintain a content calendar that aligns with business objectives, primarily revenue acquisition and high-value logo retention
Be our hands-on content creator and prove conversion impact before you grow your team

You will fit well if you have,

5+ years’ experience in B2B SaaS content, preferably in PLG + PLS plays for productivity, collaboration, or work management products
Proven track record of building content engines that directly impact content-driven conversions and revenue
Deep understanding of product-led narratives
Strong portfolio of product-first content, guides, and comparison pieces
Exceptional ability to translate product capabilities into compelling use case and showcase stories
Experience scaling Content teams
Some understanding of open-core ecosystems
